Slim Safont (Barcelona, 1995) is a visual artist working in the public space across contemporary muralism, photography and documentary film as interconnected tools for visual research and storytelling. His practice is articulated through a sensitive engagement with the spaces and contexts in which he works, exploring diverse social and cultural dynamics across international contexts through a contemporary documentary approach.
His work focuses particularly on the realities of young people and adolescents within the contexts he investigates, often linked to the artist’s own biography, introducing an intimate dimension where personal memory intertwines with collective experience. Each project unfolds across multiple formats between photography, painting or documentary film, with public interventions acting as the starting point for an expanded body of work. The methods and processes developed through working in public space have gradually defined a new studio language, which the artist is currently exploring through photography and painting. These works translate lived experience into layered visual narratives, extending the encounters initiated in the street into the space of the studio.
